/Panto is back at De Montfort Hall for Christmas 2015...
This year's pantomime will be the wickedly funny Snow White, starring Benidorm and Loose Women’s Sherrie Hewson.
Sherrie currently appears in the ITV1 comedy Benidorm as Joyce Temple-Savage and has been a panelist on Loose Women for over 10 years; but soap fans will also recognise her from previous roles in Coronation Street and Emmerdale.
The cast will also include Britain’s Got Talent finalist Jon Clegg as the Jester and BBC Radio Leicester’s Martin Ballard as Dame.
Impressionist and comedian Jon Clegg is a seasoned pantomime performer, and shot to fame last year when he reached the final of Britain’s Got Talent, in which he impersonated, amongst others, Ant and Dec and even Simon Cowell himself.
Leicester’s very own Martin Ballard will be donning a frock this year to play the dame and in an extra treat for children, the show also has a special guest appearance by CBeebies’ megastar Justin Fletcher as the Magic Mirror, where he will appear as a pre-recorded video.
Snow White will again be produced by Coventry based Imagine theatre and this year’s script will be written by Iain Lachlan and Will Brenton – best known for creating children’s TV show The Tweenies.
