Pantomime Season 2024/25
casting open for jack and the beanstalk at eden court, inverness
We are looking for Scottish based performers to submit for auditions across adult roles of the production and performers with links to the Highlands and surrounding areas are encouraged to apply as we continue to produce a show welcoming home grown talent back into the Eden Court for the festive season.
Casting details:
Audition location: Auditions will take place during w/c 10th June 2024 in Glasgow. Please note auditions are by invite only and unfortunately we are unable to acknowledge every application we receive.
Contract dates: Monday 25th November 2024 - Sunday 05th January 2025
Production location: Inverness

Jack Trot
Jack is a dreamer and wants more than the small village can give him. Jack is well liked by the children and younger folks in the village but is viewed as a bit of a waster by the older generation. He is the underdog in the story that has a quest in front of him to save the day.
The actor playing this role must be a strong triple threat with the ability to play the story driving role. The actor should also have a good understanding of the panto genre and that comedy routines will be very much part of the story itself.

Appearance: Any appearance
Jill
We play our principal female identifying roles as strong, feisty, and carefree young person. This part is very much the story telling role, therefore needs a good connection with an audience of all ages.
The actor playing this role must be a strong triple threat with the ability to play the story driving role. The actor should also have a good understanding of the panto genre and that comedy routines will be very much part of the story itself.

Lady Kessock
Jill’s Mother, This part is very much the story telling role, therefore needs a good connection with an audience of all ages.

Poison Ivy
The Baddie in this story, we are looking for a strong character with a nice comedy style. They work for the giant as his runaround and side kick, nobody in the village like them.
The actor playing this role must be a strong triple threat and be able to sing and move to a very high standard and have an excellent vocal range with the ability to play the villain role. The actor should also have a good understanding of the panto genre and that comedy routines will be very much part of the story itself.

Fairy Faraway
The Character within the Panto who leads on the good side against the Giant and his evil sidekick......
They are quirky and full of character, helping Jack along the way to defeat the Giant and save the day.
